Gerald Robert Faunce Jr.

Faunce, Gerald Robert, Jr. of Quincy, passed away in his home on January 31, 2017. He was 49 years of age.

Gerald was a 1985 graduate of Xavarian Brothers High School in Westwood, and a 1989 graduate of Suffolk University, Boston. Gerald was an Eagle Scout with Troop 2 in Weymouth. Gerald was most proud serving his country with the United States Army, serving in Korea, Berlin for 13 years and the Pentagon for 5 years. He also had tours of duty in Kosovo, Iraq, and Afghanistan (Bronze Star). He was an Army Airborne Ranger with the 1st Infantry Division.

Beloved son of Mary A. (Condon) Faunce of Weymouth, and the late Gerald R. Faunce. Brother of Michael E. Faunce of Plymouth, Christina M. Deignan and her husband, Robert, of Sudbury, and Matthew J. Faunce and his wife, Jennifer, of Neenah, Wisconsin. Uncle of Caroline, Michaela, and Alexa Deignan, and Aidan and Evan Faunce. Former husband of Tanja Medczinski -Faunce, of Berlin Germany.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Monday 4-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home NORTH WEYMOUTH at 40 Sea Street (off Route 3A – Bicknell Square). Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at 9:45 AM on Tuesday prior to the Funeral Mass in Immaculate Conception Church, Weymouth at 10:30 AM. Burial will follow in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Rockland.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a Veterans Organization of your choice.
