Gerald Reynolds Brown

Mr. Gerald Reynolds Brown, of Hingham, formerly of S. Weymouth and Jamaica Plain passed away at home surrounded by family on  February 23, 2021.

Born in Boston, Jerry was the son of the late Gerald and Catherine (Reynolds) Brown. He was a 1957 graduate of Boston Technical High School and graduated from Boston State College with a BS in 1961 and a M.Ed. in 1966. He was a long time Probation Officer for the Brockton Superior Court until his retirement in 2001. For many years after retirement, Jerry worked as a part time bridge operator at the Granite Ave Bridge. Always willing to help others in any way possible, he will be deeply missed by all those that knew and loved him.

Beloved husband of Rosemary Sullivan Brown.

Father of Jeffrey Brown and his wife, Pamela, of Agawam, Jennifer Parks and  her husband, Daniel, of Wareham, and Jon Brown and his wife, Nicole, of E. Bridgewater. Grandfather of Emily, Zachary, Delaney, Jake, Kevin, Collin, and Ryan. Great Grandfather of Charlotte. Also survived by Rosemary’s children, Thomas Greeley, Maura Graham, and Kevin Greeley. Brother of Geraldine Stoner of CA, and Catherine Goldie of Victoria, BC, Canada.  Jerry was predeceased by his first wife Patricia D. Brown (Lydon). 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visitation on Saturday from 8:30-9:30 AM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital), followed by his Funeral Mass in St. Francis Xavier Church, 234 Pleasant Street, Weymouth at 10 AM.

Burial will be private.
