Gerald R. Laflamme

LaFlamme, Gerald R. of Quincy, October 11, 2008. Beloved husband of Mary (Long) LaFlamme. Loving father of Gerald H. LaFlamme of Marietta, GA, Janet LaFlamme-Marzino of Stoneham, and Denise LaFlamme of CA. Brother of Paul LaFlamme of Stoughton. Grandfather of Dominique and Alexandra Hendelman. Gerald retired as a Lieutenant with the Boston Fire Department in 1986 after 32 years of service. An Army veteran of WWII, he fought in Normandy and the Battle of the Bulge and was stationed in occupied Berlin for a year. He was a member of the Knight’s of Columbus in Dorchester and the St. John’s Senior Club. He enjoyed traveling and was active with the Quincy Senior Olympics, playing bocce, darts and billiards. He will be greatly missed. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the Life Celebration Service in Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY, Wednesday at 9:15 AM. Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Church, N. Quincy at 10 AM. Visiting hours Tuesday 4-8 PM. Burial in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Dorchester.
