Marinis, Georgia (Angelopoulos) of Hanover, originally Greece, died July 21, 2023.
Georgia was a special woman who adored her family. She loved having a house full of plants and caring for her grandchildren. She was an amazing cook, baker, gardener, and always had fresh vegetables from her garden. Georgia was very proud of her Greek heritage, and her faith was very important to her. She was very involved with St. Catherine’s Greek Orthodox Church in Braintree and with the Greek community.
She was kind, funny, caring, and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Georgia was the beloved wife of the late Anastasios Tom Marinis. She was the cherished mother of Angela Marinis of Rockland, Dena Manning and her husband Bill of Duxbury, and Ted Marinis and his wife Heather of Hanover. She was the loving sister of Angela Pantazis, Katherine Zographos, and the late Nicholos and Angelos Angelopoulos. She was the devoted Yiayia of Anastasia, Billy, Alexandra, and Niko. Georgia is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
