Georgette R. (Christie) Buscemi

Georgette R. (Christie) Buscemi of Rockland , passed away peacefully at home surrounded by the love and security of her family on July 8, 2023.  She was 76 years old.

Born in Brighton on New Years day, with her big stubborn personality already in place, she was the daughter of the late George and Louise Christie. 

Georgette enjoyed watching Red Sox games and listening to the crowds cheer from her Fenway apartment, especially during concerts. Her favorite music was country and the oldies. She was spunky and she made that clear by dying her hair her favorite color, purple. Georgette loved a “lobsta” dinner and her favorite desert was a virgin pina colada with extra whipped cream. She was also known for hiding and sneaking her favorite sweets and her Lay’s chips that she was forbidden to eat. Georgette enjoyed spending her days socializing at a program called Active Day of Hingham. Georgette spent many days with Randy Collins whom she relied upon and became very close with, and Elba Roman for her friendship and support. 

Mom, Nana, Noanie, we will miss your funny jokes and our family memories and you will forever be in our hearts. We love you so much.

Beloved mother of Sandra L. Buscemi of Attleboro, Cindy Buscemi of Rockland and son in law Hiram Rodriguez of Rockland. Cherished grandmother of Christie Boulay and her husband Joshua and Jordan Buscemi,  Loving great grandmother of Desirae Boulay, Laila Boulay and Jaxson Boulay. She was the sister of the late Marion Christie and Jeanette Noussee. Also will be missed by many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Sunday July 23rd from 2-5 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital). Funeral service will be celebrated on Sunday July 23rd at 3:30 PM in McDonald Keohane Funeral Home, SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main St. (Rt. 18 opp. South Shore Hospital) , Weymouth.
