Duncan, George W. of Quincy, June 27, 2008. Devoted companion of Constance Blatt of Quincy. Loving father of George W. Duncan, Jr. and his wife Sharon of Rockland, Kenneth C. and Christina M. Duncan both of Quincy. Brother of Donna Duncan of Woodinville, WA, Julia Allen of North Port, FL, David Duncan of Glen Burnie, MD, Joseph Duncan of Brockton, Richard Duncan of Carver, James & Helen Duncan and Jessie Wilkinson all of Quincy. Cherished grandfather of Ashley Corrin & Aimee Lynn Duncan. George was a lifelong resident of Quincy. He served in the United States Navy from 1959 until 1963. He was a member of the pipefitters union local 25. He worked for General Dynamics for more than 27 years until it closing. He also worked for the Patriot Ledger as well as McGinn Service Station in Quincy. He enjoyed golfing and fishing. He really enjoyed watching his son Ken run road races as well as the Boston Marathon. George will always be remembered as a hard working, gentleman, who was dedicated to his family. He will be sadly missed by all those who knew him. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral service in Evangelical Congregational Church of Atlantic , 65 Newbury Street, North Quincy, Wednesday at 11 AM. Visiting hours Tuesday 4- 8 PM at the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock Street , WOLLASTON. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Mr. Duncan may be made to Andy Triantefellow – Pipefitters Flowers Fund. 80 Lincoln Road, Rockland, MA 02370.
