George W. Cataldo

Mr. George W. Cataldo  of S. Weymouth, died December 11, 2015. He was 86.

Born in Revere, a son of the late George W. and Clara (Terminello). George was a 1947 graduate of Revere High School, and a 1959 graduate of Northeastern University. He worked at Great American Ins Co then at Ravech, Aronson, Shuman and Lewis. George was a devout Catholic and was very involved at Saint Francis Xavier Church as a Lector, Eucharistic Minister and an Usher. He was a Korean War veteran serving with the United States Army. In his spare time he enjoyed sailing and going to the beach with his family. He was an active member of several collegiate referee associations.

Loving father of Richard G. Cataldo of Pittsfield, Noreen C. Cataldo and her boyfriend, Alan Qualtieri, of Whitman, Gary W. Cataldo and his wife, Suzanne, of Hanover, Denise M. Ellis and her husband, William, of S. Weymouth, and David M. Cataldo of Brewster. Brother of Robert Cataldo of Danvers. Longtime companion of Jeannette Durham of Quincy. Grandfather of Gina, Elyce, Michael, Natalie, Charlie, and Ben Cataldo, and Mark and Sara Ellis. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Tuesday 5-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital) Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at 8:30 AM on Wednesday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Francis Xavier Church, Weymouth at 9:30 AM.

Burial will follow in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Weymouth.
