George “Tom” Gardner

George“ Tom” Gardner, of Weymouth Mass, passed away on February 5th, 2022 of health related complications at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital. Tom was 81 years old.

Tom was born on October 21, 1940 to George and Nyllis Gardner in Brockton Mass. He attended Brockton Schools and Graduated Brockton High School in 1958. Tom furthered his education by graduating from the Benjamin Franklin Technical Institute in 1960 with emphasis in Civil Engineering. Tom also served in the US Army both active and reserve for six years.

Tom, after gaining years of experience in both business, engineering, and heavy construction, founded with his partner Bob Weatherbee Garweth Corp. Tom and his partner spent the next 35 years obtaining and implementing contracts that required engineering, design, and construction,throughout the entire New England area.

For enjoyment Tom was an avid boater, fisherman, and winter skier.

Tom is survived by his brother Bruce Gardner and his wife Cheryl and their three daughters Kristen,Jennifer, and Erin, as well as two grand nephews and two grand nieces. Further he is survived by his long term companion, Judith O” Donnell, her daughter Lauren Savage, and her son Rory O’Donnell. 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visitation on Saturday February 19, from 1-3pm in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St. Wollaston.
