George Stephen

Stephen, George of Hingham, died November 13, 2015. 

Born in Aberdeen, Scotland, George studied architecture in Edinburgh and emigrated to the United States in 1957. He worked for 13 years as an architect for the Boston Redevelopment Authority and 28 years as the North Atlantic Regional Architect for the National Park Service.  An author and college lecturer, George also loved classical music, sketching, sailing and wood-working. Mild-mannered, good hearted and humorous, he will be sadly missed by all those who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Beloved husband of 27 years to Sylvia Stephen (Jimenez) of Hingham.  Loving father of David Stephen and his wife Silvana of Jamaica Plain, Mark Stephen and his wife Marie of CA, Jacqueline McColgan and her husband James of Hingham and the late Colin Stephen. Devoted grandfather of Francisco, Isabelle, Cassie and Corinne.
