Habel, George S. of Falmouth, formerly of Quincy, July 18, 2003. Husband of the late Mary L. (Lane), beloved father of Mary Ann Moore of York, ME, George T. Habel of Hingham, Kathleen M. Loiter of Braintree and Patricia H. Bernabeo of Kingston. Sister of Carolyn of New Mexico, Helen O’Brien of Canton and Marjorie Grady of Falmouth. Also survived by 9 grandchildren. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral from the Keohane Funeral Home 785 Hancock St., WOLLASTON Tuesday at 8 AM. Funeral Mass in Saint Ann’s Church, Wollaston at 9 AM. Visiting hours Monday 4-8 PM. Burial in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree. George was an avid golfer. Member of the 3rd Army, 11th Armored Div. 42nd Tank Batt. Fought in the battle of the Bulge and was awarded the Purple Heart. Donations in memory of Mr. Habel may be made to New England Shelter for Homeless Veterans 17 Court Street Boston, MA 02108.
