George R. Bell

Bell, George R. of Quincy, passed away January 9, 2013.

Beloved husband of the late Norma J. (Santostefano) Bell. Loving father of Karen McDonough and her husband Sean of Hull and Kristen Bell of Quincy. Brother of Barbara Bernier of Rockland, Steven Bell of Maine, Vincent Bell of New Hampshire, Frank Bell of Washington State, Robert Bell of St. Thomas and the late William Bell, Jr., Donna Donnelly and Maryann Banker. Cherished papa of Andrew Bell, Bradford and Douglas McKeen.

George was born, raised and educated in South Boston. He settled in Quincy in 1972 with his wife Norma where they raised their daughters. George was a mechanic at Victor Coffee Company for 25 years before retiring in 2000. He had a love for antique cars, never missing an opportunity to go to a car show. He enjoyed spending time building model cars with his grandson Andrew. Most of all George loved his family who were the cornerstone of his life. He will be missed by all of his family and friends.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Sunday 2-6 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY.  A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:15 AM on Monday prior to the Funeral Service in Bethel Church of the Nazarene, 41 Empire Street, Quincy, at 10 AM.  Burial in Pine Hill Cemetery, Quincy.  Donations in memory of George may be made to the “Norma Bell” Scholarship @ Eastern Nazarene College, 23 E. Elm Ave. 02170: Attn: Development Office.
