George P. Murphy

George P. Murphy of Plymouth, formerly of Weymouth, Quincy and his childhood home of Roxbury, died December 21, 2019 at the age of 79.

George worked as a travel agent executive and was an owner of both Classic Tours and Prime Travel Agencies. Beyond his work, he enjoyed traveling on a personal level. Ireland and Hawaii were favorite destinations. George was a passionate Boston sports fan and avid golfer. He was proud of his Roxbury roots.

Loving father of Michelle Murphy of Dorchester and Brendan Murphy of San Francisco, CA. Brother of Virginia Hovsepian of Plymouth, James P. Murphy of Middleboro, twin brother Robert R. Murphy of Plymouth, the late Walter Murphy, and the late William Murphy. Former husband of Lynda Aldorisio. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Sunday 4-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital). Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at 9:15 AM on Monday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Francis Xavier Church, Weymouth at 10 AM. Burial in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.
