Campbell, George M. “Sonnie” of Holbrook February 15, 2007. Beloved husband of the late Helen (Mahon) Campbell. Devoted father of George M. of Rockland, David P. of Abington, Dorothy “Dorry” DeGrazia of Holbrook, Janet L. Campbell, Caroline Hurd, Steven Mahon all of CA, and Nancy C. Andrew of Avon. Loving brother of Patricia Gillespie of Braintree, and the late John, Ronald, Veronica Campbell and Beatrice Peak. Also survived by 14 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral from the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., WOLLASTON, Monday at 9:00 AM. Funeral Mass in Saint Ann’s Church, Wollaston at 10:00 AM. Visiting hours Sunday 2 – 6 PM. Burial in Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton. Donations in memory of George M. Campbell may be made to Animal Rescue League of Boston, 10 Chandler St., Boston, MA 02116. George served during WWII in the United States Navy. He was an electrician in the Service on the USS Arkansas for 3 years. The USS Arkansas was the oldest battleship in Fleet. George was a life time member of Morrissette Post in Quincy and the Frank M. Noyes VFW Post # 8892 in Avon. He was also a member of the VFW in Abington. He was also a member of Local 25. He worked as a truck driver for Wilson Freight in Chelmsford for over 17 years, retiring in 1979. George lived in Quincy for almost 30 years before moving to CA in 1986. After his beloved wife passed away in 2000, he moved back to Holbrook to live with his daughter. George was a member of the Holbrook Golden Ages.
