George M. Mason

Mason, George M. of Hingham, formerly of Duxbury, Lynnfield and Saugus, died on June 17, 2010. He was 87. Beloved husband of Roberta (Robertson) Mason of Hingham. Devoted father of Susan Mason of St Petersburg, FL and Sandra Mason and her partner Sydney Barrett of Cambridge. Loving brother of the late William Mason and Bessie Babb. Cherished grandfather of Erica Mason-Barrett. Uncle to many neices and nephews. George proudly served in the US Navy during WWII. After his time in the service he attended Bentley School of Accounting and Finance. He joined the sales department, at entry level, of The Anderson Co. in Indiana and rose to the position of Regional Sales Manager overseeing all sales territories covering the northeastern United States. He has lived in the Linden Ponds Community with his wife Roberta since the initial opening and has served as the RAC Vice Chairman for two and one-half years. He will be sadly missed.
