George Kevin Doyle of Weymouth passed away unexpectedly at the age of 75 on May 24th 2021.
George is predeceased by his parents, George and Margaret Doyle. George, better known to most as Kevin, grew up in Dorchester and moved to Weymouth in 1973. He graduated from Northeastern University with an MBA in 1983. He worked for Harvard University for over 30 years as a Financial Analyst. He also taught accounting at Newbury College. Kevin loved the simple life. He loved to cheer for the Red Sox and watch a good Patriots game. He loved to be with his family surrounded by laughter. He enjoyed some good trivia and loved reading.
Kevin is survived by his loving wife of 50 years Joanna Fitzgibbon. He was a loving father to Jay (deceased), Jonathan, Caitlin, Angela Doyle and Alexis (Doyle) Gregor and her husband Timothy. He was a loving grandfather and great grandfather to Sean, Kailey, Sara, and Austin and Ella. He was the loving brother to John (Jack) Doyle and his wife Bernice. He is survived by many nieces and nephews. Kevin was a great father and friend to those who knew him. He was always involved in his children’s lives. He never missed a softball game or tennis match. His joy came from watching his children be happy and being surrounded by good friends and family. A quote from his favorite movie, Field of Dreams, sums up his simplistic life view: “Hey, Dad, you wanna have a catch?”.
