Spada, George “Joe” of Quincy, November 30, 2010. Beloved husband of Marjorie M. Spada of Quincy. Loving father of Salvatore Spada and his wife Carol Newman of Las Vegas, NV, Georgeann Votruba and her husband Walter of Bridgewater and Christina Spada of Danville, NH. Brother of Frank and Albert Spada, Rose Garzon and the late Theresa Senesi and John and Rocco Spada. Joe was the former husband of the late Grace D. Porro. Joe is also lovingly survived by 5 grand children and 8 great-grandchildren as well as Marjorie’s children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Joe worked for Raytheon for 28 years as an Electronic Technician before retiring in 1985. After retiring he and his wife Marjorie lived in Brewster, MA and wintered in Ft. Myers, FL. Joe was a talented musician who specialized in percussion instruments and was much sought after by bands in Boston, Cape Cod and Florida for over 70 years. While his work at Raytheon was his career his music was his calling. Joe enjoyed traveling, fishing and clam digging. Joe was also a longtime ham radio operator. Most of all Joe loved his family and spending time with them over quahogs and barbeque. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours Monday, December 06, 2010 4-8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock Street, QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:15AM on Tuesday prior to the Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Church at 10 AM. Burial in Mt. Wollaston Cemetery, Quincy. Donations in memory of Joe may be made to The Home for Little Wanderers, 161 So. Huntington Ave., Jamaica Plain, MA 02130.
