George F. Kelley

George F. Kelley of Treasure Island, FL, formerly of Weymouth, died peacefully September 4, 2017.

George worked as a firefighter and was stationed at Boston Fire Department Engine 50. He was also a retired member of the Boston Fire Honor Guard. A veteran of the Korean War, he served with the U.S. Army 11th Airborne Division. He was a proud member of the VFW and the American Legion.

Loving husband of MaryLou (Glynn) Kelley. Loving father of Kevin Kelley and wife Cathy of Brockton, Robert Kelley and wife Ellen of Weymouth, David Kelley and wife Cindy of Abington, and the late George Kelley. Proud grandfather of George Kelley (UMass Lowell), Paige Kelley, Robert Kelley, Angelina Kelley, Liam Kelley, and Lily Kelley.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Friday 4-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital). Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at 11:15 AM on Saturday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Francis Xavier Church, Weymouth at 12 PM. Military honors will follow. Donations in memory of George may be made to the Boston Fire Department Relief Fund, 115 Southampton Street, Boston, MA 02118.
