George E. Williams

Williams, George E. of Weymouth, died January 1, 2015.

George was born and raised in Ohio and has lived in Weymouth for 47 years. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy for 20 years. Over the years, George worked for General Dynamics, Marr Scaffolding and as a power equipment manager. George was a skilled archer and instructor, achieving 7 archery medals in the Senior Olympics. He was a member of the Massachusetts Field Archery Association, Marshfield Rod and Gun Club, Lunenberg Sportsman Club, Weymouth Sportsman Club and the Weymouth Park Department. 

Beloved husband of 54 years to the late Mary G. (Gherardi) Williams. Devoted father of Monica Klaver and her husband Daniel of FL and George E. Williams, II and his wife Maureen of Duxbury. Cherished “Grampy” of Nicholas, George E., III and Delaney. Loving brother of Alfred Williams of MS.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Thursday 4-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital)  Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at 8:30 AM on Friday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Francis Xavier Church, Weymouth at 9:30 AM. Burial in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.
