George E. “Ernie” Proctor

George E. “ Ernie” Proctor of Weymouth, died peacefully on December 23, 2015.

Ernie was a decorated World War II veteran serving in the United States Army. He enjoyed reading, carpentry, and gardening.

Beloved husband of 70 years to Dorothy R. (Estano). Loving father of Albert Proctor and his wife, Marie, of East Bridgewater, Ellen Cristoferi and her husband, Richard, of Avon, John Proctor and his wife, Rhonda, of Ashland, Nancy Castellano of Florida, and James Proctor of Weymouth. Brother of Edward Proctor of Dorchester, Catherine McCarthy of Pembroke, Robert Proctor of Canada, Butch Proctor of Tewksbury, and the late Carl Proctor, Lorraine Nelson, and Melvin Proctor. Also survived by 4 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Sunday 2-5 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home EAST WEYMOUTH at 3 Charles Street (corner of Charles & Middle Street)  Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at 9:15 AM on Monday prior to the Funeral Mass in Immaculate Conception Church, Weymouth at 10 AM. Burial will follow in in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.
