George C. “Sut” Zantuhos of Dorchester and most recently Weymouth, passed away surrounded by his family on September 14, 2022, at the age of 74.
Sut grew up in Dorchester and he and his wife Linda lived most of their lives there before moving to Weymouth . He served our country in the Army during the Vietnam War and went on to work for NStar as an underground lineman for many years. He was an avid guitar player and music lover. Mr. Zantuhos was a fan of the Boston Bruins and the New England Patriots.
He was the son of the late George Zantuhos and Dora Jean Brown. Beloved husband of Linda S. Zantuhos of Weymouth, Devoted father of Michael Bragan and his wife Christina of Middleboro, Lauren Zantuhos and Raymond Holbrook of Weymouth, and the late Michelle Polvere. Loving brother of Richard Zantuhos and his wife Kathleen of Sanford ME, and Vanessa Brady and her husband Scott of Wrentham MA. George also leaves behind 10 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Will also be missed by many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Wednesday 4-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital). Funeral service will be celebrated on Thursday at 10 AM in McDonald Keohane Funeral Home, SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main St. (Rt. 18 opp. South Shore Hospital) , Weymouth. Burial to follow in MA National Cemetery, Bourne.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of George may be made to American Parkinson Disease Assoc., 85 East Concord Street, Boston, MA 02118.
