George C. Pappas

Pappas, George C., longtime resident of Hingham, died May 14, 2016.

George was born on March 4, 1934 in Vassara, Sparti, Greece. He worked as a civil engineer for the State of MA for over 20 years, retiring just last year. He previously worked for Stone & Webster. George was an active parishioner of St. Catherine’s Greek Orthodox Church. He enjoyed traveling, gardening and spending time with his family.

Beloved husband of 51 years to Demetra (Chronopoulos) Pappas of Hingham. Devoted father of Christos Pappas, M.D. and his wife Stephanie of CT and Dennis Pappas of Dunstable. Cherished Pappou of Zoe, Andrew, Clio and Alexander. Loving brother of Peter Pappas of Squantum, Argiro Spiropoulos of Squantum and Eleni Gavros of Hudson. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Wednesday 4-8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY.

Funeral service will be celebrated on Thursday at 10 AM in St. Catherine Greek Orthodox Church, Braintree.

Burial in Forest Hills Cemetery, Boston.
