Smith, Gail F. (Castonguay) of Quincy, passed away March 10, 2011 at the age of 50. Cherished daughter of the late Barbara (Cox) Stever. Beloved wife of John D. Smith of Quincy. Loving sister of Paula Ivory of N. Weymouth, Donna Lorgeree of AZ and Jean Downey of Weymouth. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family members and dear friends. Gail was born and raised in Weymouth and has lived in Quincy for the last 7 years. She worked as a receptionist for the Carroll Center for the Blind in Newton and a phone operator for Mass Eye and Ear in Boston. Gail was an avid reader and an amazing cook, with a great sense of adventure. In her early years she enjoyed swimming, skiing, horseback riding and was an accomplished gymnast. She had a love for dogs, especially her cherished dog Franko. She will be sadly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Friday 4-8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:15 AM on Saturday prior to the Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Church in Weymouth at 10 AM. Burial in Wildwood Cemetery, Winchester.
