Gail E. Shanahan

Gail E. (Wood) Shanahan, 71, of Weymouth passed away September 24, 2015.

She was the daughter of the late Frank and Thelma (Wise) Shanahan. Former wife of the late Barry C. Wood. Beloved sister of Frances Shanahan of  Weymouth. She was mother of Pam Oliver and her husband Bill of Weymouth, Heather Wood of Weymouth and Rockland and Barry Wood of E. Weymouth. She was the grandmother of Jared Wood of Rockland, Amanda Smith of Hingham, Bryan and Michael Oliver and Melissa Wood, all of Weymouth. She was the great-grandmother of Alana Arnold of Hingham.

Gail enjoyed spending time with her large extended family. For many years, she worked at Chet’s in Weymouth as a waitress and as a bartender. Gail was also employed at M&I in Braintree.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Monday from 4-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital).
