Gail C. Loughnane

Loughnane, Gail C. (Reynolds) of Scituate, age 45, passed away peacefully at home on December 16, 2016, surrounded by her family after a long illness.

Born in Middletown, NY, Gail grew up in Slate Hill, NY, graduating from Minisink Valley High School in 1989. She attended university at SUNY Geneseo, NY, and Eastern Nazarene College, MA, earning a Bachelor of Science degree. Gail was a teacher and tireless advocate for education. Most recently she worked at St. Jerome Elementary School in Weymouth, and had worked at Beachmont School in Revere, Boston Collegiate Charter School and Scituate High School. A noted high school soccer player, Gail also enjoyed water sports, golf and hiking the great outdoors with family and friends. Gail was, and always will be, a spark of light for all those who knew her. Her open and loving heart touched many, and her large circle of friends and extended family will cherish her memory forever. 

Gail is survived by her beloved husband Brian Loughnane of Scituate, her loving parents Warfield “Terry” and Sally Reynolds of Tupper Lake, and her devoted son Conor J. Loughnane of Scituate. Gail is also the niece of Kay and Robert Hornaday of Baldwinsville, NY, Sheila VanTuyl of Tupper Lake, NY and Michael Reynolds of Liberty, NY. Also survived by her cousins Krista Neilson, and Korryn Deichmiller. Gail was predeceased by her cousin Kerri Hornaday.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Tuesday 4-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home NORTH WEYMOUTH at 40 Sea Street (off Route 3A – Bicknell Square). Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at 9:45 AM on Wednesday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Jerome Church, Weymouth at 10:30 AM. Cremation will follow.
