Martin, Gail A. (Anderson) of Weymouth, died April 7, 2021.
Gail Martin was a beautiful, vivacious, and socially active individual with a passion for the beach, gardening and spending time with friends and family. She had a love for all animals large and small, and in her youth, raised and showed prize winning Hereford cattle with her dad, Raymond. As a young mother, Gail was adept at managing the needs of her loving husband, two young boys, 4 dogs, 2 cats, and her horse, “Mat’s Little Jewel” aka Gemmy. After moving to the beach in Weymouth in the early 1990’s, Gail relished the town’s annual Independence Day celebrations, making new acquaintances and having the opportunity to show off her beautiful gardens! Over the years, Gail enjoyed working in Real Estate, and as an Administrator at Triple-A, but was happiest when managing her small dog-sitting business, and taking care of all her favorite 4 legged clients. Gail was an eternal optimist with a big heart, and beaming smile, and will be sadly missed by all those who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Loving mother of Tim Martin and his wife Alison of Florida and Bill Martin of New Hampshire. Cherished grandmother of William John Martin IV of California and Andrew Martin of New Hampshire. Devoted great grandmother of Oliver James Martin, Eleanor “Ella” Martin and Collette “Coco” Martin. Beloved former wife of the late William John Martin Jr. Adored daughter of the late Raymond and Marion Anderson formerly of Ashfield, MA. Caring sister of Lucille Seymour and her husband Bill of Western, MA and the late Ellene Scott and her late husband David, also of Western, MA. Gail is also survived by many adored nieces and nephews.
Services will be private.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Gail may be made to American Cancer Society, 3 Speen Street, Suite 250, Framingham, MA 01701.
Normally, the funeral is an opportunity for the community to gather in support of one another. Although some may not be able to gather together with Gail’s family at this time, friends may still offer their support by sharing a special memory or message.
