Gabriel “Gabe” Striglio

Gabriel  “Gabe” Striglio of Hull passed away unexpectedly on August 1, 2014 at the age of 82.

Born in Weymouth, MA, he was raised in Italy and returned as a young adult and served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. By trade, Gabriel was a cement finisher and bricklayer for 30 years, a member of Local 3.

Beloved husband of the late Giuliana (DiGirolamo) Striglio.  Loving father of Lina Striglio,  Robert and his wife Sharon all of Hull,  Steven and his wife Karen of Hanover, Richard Striglio, Michael Striglio and his partner Peter all of Boston, and Santina Striglio of Hull.

Devoted grandfather of Bobby, Melissa, Kimberly, Stephanie, Nicolas, and Liana. He is also survived by his sister Liana and her late husband Luigi, brother-in-law Guido and his wife Anna, Giovanni and his wife Lodovica and many nieces and nephews all of Italy.

Gabriel enjoyed working in his garden, cooking, riding his bike, and spending time with his family. He enjoyed working side by side with his children on all types of construction projects, which seemed to always incite debates on life and end with a good lively discussion about politics.  He will be missed.  Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours  on Wednesday, 5-8pm at the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald Street, (off Central St.) Hingham. A Celebration of Life Service  will be held on Thursday morning at 9:15 am prior to the Funeral Mass  in at St. Anne’s Church, 208 Samoset Avenue in Hull, Thursday at 10am. Burial in Hull Village Cemetery.
