Fredrick Henry Fiedler, born March 28, 1930, 92, of Hingham, MA, formerly of Monroe, CT and Trinity, FL passed away peacefully on May 10, 2022.

Fred graduated from Uxbridge High School in 1947 and attended Rhode Island School of Design to become a textile designer before being drafted into the Army during the Korean War. After an honorable discharge from the Army, he received a Business Degree from Bryant College in 1957. While at Bryant College, he met the love of his life, Janet Mae Parkinson. Their 65th wedding anniversary would have been July 13, 2022. Fred had a successful career in Manufacturing Management with the Ney Company, Stanley Works, and Casco Products. He was a true patriot and proud to serve his country as a member of the greatest generation. Anyone who met him was in for a good laugh and enjoyed his quick-witted humor and wise insightful comments.

He was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather and is survived by his wife, Janet Fiedler of Hingham, MA and daughter, Cynthia (William) Mayer of Boston, son Craig (Alyce) Fiedler of Laughlintown, PA and six grandchildren, Brittany and Katherine Mayer, and Caroline, Henry, Grace, and Lilley Fiedler.

Fred is predeceased by his parents, Johanna and Frohman Fiedler of Lawrence, MA, and his in-laws, Harold and Frances Parkinson of Mendon, MA, and his brother in-law, Kelvin Parkinson of East Dennis, MA.

There will be a private memorial service followed by the burial at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne, MA. In lieu of flowers donations can be sent to the Linden Ponds Student Scholarship Fund at 203 Linden Ponds Way, Hingham, MA 02043.
