Frederick V. Jarrett, of Whitman, a cherished member of the Electrician Local 103 Union, passed away surrounded by the love of his family on July 27, 2024. He was 70 years old.
Frederick, known for his unwavering kindness and infectious humor, dedicated many years to his craft as an electrician, earning the respect and admiration of his colleagues.
His love for his family was paramount, and he often expressed it through simple, yet profound acts of care. Fred’s approach to life was straightforward, unpretentious, and he helped others. Those who knew Fred will remember him as a goofball. He loved cheering on the Patriots, spending time with his wife watching the Red Sox, and enjoying Jurassic Park and Star Wars. His ability to light up a room with laughter was as natural to him as his skilled work with electrical systems. His legacy will continue to in the hearts of those that loved him.
Frederick will be deeply missed, but the memories of his loving spirit will forever illuminate the lives of his family and friends.
He is survived by his loving wife, Christine Jarrett of Whitman, and was the cherished son-in-law to Shirley Ward; his daughters Lisa Davis and husband Brian Davis, Kimberly Jarrett, and Shirley Devitt.
Frederick is loved always by his daughter Christine Totman and her husband Andy Totman.
He is forever loved by his grandchildren, Emily Totman-Jarrett and fiancé Alex Kutzke, Abigael Davis, Isabella Totman, and Aidan Davis; and loved by his great grandchildren Lily and Daisy Kutzke. Frederick is also survived by his siblings Theresa Taylor, Cheryl Szymcyk, Kathleen Mullen, Michael Jarrett, Joseph Jarrett, and Jeremiah Jarrett.
He is predeceased by his parents Frederick P. Jarrett and Mary Patricia Jarrett.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to greet the family during the visiting hours on Friday Aug. 2nd from 12-4 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital). A prayer will be said for Fred at the conclusion of the visiting hours at 4 PM. Cremation will follow. See www.Keohane.com for directions and online condolences.
