Eggers, Frederick J., III of Quincy, formerly of South Boston, suddenly February 28, 2008. Husband of the late Margaret A. (Kaufman) Eggers. Loving father of Jay Eggers & wife Kerry of Spring Hill, FL and Krissy & husband Dan Doherty of Woburn. Devoted grandfather of Andrew & Kaitlyn Eggers and Erin & Madison Doherty. Loving son of Irene (Doyle) of South Boston and the late Frederick J. Eggers, Jr. Brother of Robert Eggers and Anne Weaver, both of South Boston. Fred worked 31 years for the MBTA and retired in 2003 as a chief inspector on the Red Line. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral from the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY, Tuesday at 9 AM. Funeral Mass in Saint Ann’s Church, Wollaston at 10 AM. Visiting hours Monday 4-8 PM. Burial in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.
