Duffy, Frederick J. “Duff” of Deland, FL, formerly of Hingham & Dorchester, suddenly December 4, 2005. Husband of the late Mary (Kielty) Duffy. Loving father of Karyn & her husband Paul Dauwer of Duxbury, Michael Duffy & his wife Natalie of Orlando, FL, Michelle Ryan of Quincy and Kerri & her husband Steven Myers of Weston, FL. Loving grandfather of Francis Ryan; Patrick, Caitlin & Colleen Dauwer; and Samantha Duffy. Brother of Mary Stafford of Dorchester. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and in laws. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral from the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St., HINGHAM Friday at 9 AM. Funeral Mass in Saint Paul’s Church, Hingham at 10 AM. Visiting hours Thursday 4-8 PM. Burial in Saint Paul’s Cemetery, Hingham. Duff worked as a vault agent manager for the M.B.T.A. for 25 years, retiring in 1998. He grew up in Dorchester, raised his family in Hingham, and moved to Florida five years ago. Duff was proud of his Irish heritage and loved to cook. An avid Boston sports fan, he relished in the success of the Patriots and the Red Sox. Duff was also an automobile aficionado. He owned two antique cars which he lovingly restored. Most of all, Duff was a loving husband, Dad and grandfather. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
