Cox, Frederick E. Ret. Fire Chief of Hull, February 1, 2002. The beloved husband of Margaret E. (Nealon) Cox of Hull. Father of Frederick E.”Teddy” Cox, III Hull Fire Dept. of Cohasset, Kathleen A. Cox of Hull, Deborah A. Kinnear of Boca Raton, FL and Edward J. Cox of Hull. Brother of Thomas F. Cox of Hull. Also survived by 7 grandchildren and 1 great grand-daughter. Mr. Cox was a WWII Army Veteran. He was a member of V.F.W. Post 1797 in Hull, a member of ther American Legion in Hull. He was also on the Plymouth County Fire Chiefs Association. Mr. Cox began his firefighter career in February 1946, he became captain in March of 1968. He was then promoted to deputy captain in Oct. of 1971 and was appointed Fire Chief in July of 1978. He retired from this postion in Feb. of 1980.Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral from the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St. (off Central St.), HINGHAM Wednesday at 9:15 AM. Funeral Mass in Saint Ann’s Church, Hull at 10 AM. Visiting hours Tuesday 4-9 PM. Burial in Hull Village Cemetery, Hull. Donations in memory of Mr. Cox may be made to Hull Permanent Firefighters Association Scholarship Fund, 671 Nantasket Avenue, Hull, MA 02045.
