Symonds, Frank W. a longtime resident of Quincy, died on Friday, August 6, 2010 he was 88. The beloved husband of the late Mary E. (Walsh) Symonds. Devoted father of Mary Symonds of CA, Francis W. Symonds of Middleboro, Anne T. Roderick of Easton and Patricia A. Ferrier of Middleboro. Brother of Helen Black of MO and Charlie Symonds of Springfield. Cherished grandfather of Charles, Mishell and Courtney Roderick and Kyle M. Ferrier. Frank served in the United States Army during W.W.II. After his military service he worked as a mechanic for AT & T for 41 years retiring back in 1984. A former member of the North Quincy Knights of Columbus, Frank loved to travel, especially to Hawaii. He also enjoyed following sports. He will be remembered as a devoted husband, a loving father and a cherished grandfather. Frank will be sadly missed by all those who were blessed to have known him. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours Tuesday 3-7 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock Street, QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:15AM on Wednesday, prior to the Funeral Mass in Saint Ann’s Church at 10 AM. Burial in Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Frank may be made to Alzheimers Association, Mass Chapter, 311 Arsenal St., Watertown, MA 02472 .
