Duffy, Frank K., M.D. of West Harwich, formerly of Palmer, March 26, 2004. Beloved husband of Helen (Sloan) Duffy .Loving father of Frank K. Duffy Jr. of Falmouth and Sloan Duffy of Hingham. Loving grandfather of Meghan and Evan Stone of Hingham and Elizabeth Duffy of Falmouth. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral from the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St. (off Central St.), HINGHAM Tuesday at 9 AM. Funeral Mass in Saint Paul’s Church, Hingham at 10 AM. Visiting hours Monday 5-7 PM Burial in St. Thomas Cemetery, Palmer. Dr. Duffy died March 26th after a brief illness. He was born in Boston and lived most of his life in the Town of Palmer. He graduated from Palmer High School, Clark University, and Tufts Medical School. For more than thirty years He practiced Opthalmology and Surgery in Palmer and served as Chief of Staff at the Wing Memorial Hospital in Palmer. During World War II he served as medical officer in the Army and was assigned to the 48th Surgical Hospital, a mobile field hospital. He participated in the North African Campaign and the invasions of Sicily and Europe. Following his medical practice, he retired to West Harwich.
