Frank Howard Brenton of Hingham at age 89, peacefully with his family at his side January 12, 2015. 

Frank will be sadly missed, he was warm and gracious to all.  After serving in the Army Air Corp as a B-24 bombardier, Frank attended Bentley College, Accounting.  Former President of Marshalls Inc. from 1978-1986, he oversaw the expansion from 42 to 258 stores in his eight year tenure.  Past President of Value House and CFO of Mammoth Mart, Inc., Frank served on the Board of Directors of various organizations including Boston Y.M.C.A., Special Olympics, Deaconess Hospital, United Way, Cardinal Cushing School, Hanover, and also served as a Trustee of Bentley College, Waltham.

Frank was a passionate golfer and family man and is survived by his wife and Soulmate of 68 years, Louise, three daughters, Linda Wayne of Florida, Deborah Horan of North Easton, and Cheryl Pitt of Duxbury, seven adoring grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.  The funeral service was private.  Donations in his name can be made to Alzheimer’s Association
