Amonte, Frank A. of Hingham, July 16, 2009. Beloved husband of Dianne L. (DiNicola) Amonte. Loving father of Michael, Andrea & her husband Christopher Salvaggi, all of Hingham. Devoted grandfather of Francesca and Adrianna. Brother of Judith Amonte of Hull, Joseph Amonte of FL, the late Louis Amonte, and the late Carlene Brennan. Also survived by many nieces & nephews. A lifelong resident of Hingham, Frank enjoyed gardening, boating, and building & designing anything. He had the deepest love for his home and family. In 1987, Frank formed the Bay Planning Company, an independent store planning and construction company. Previously, he worked for Commonwealth Trading-Hit or Miss as manager of prototype development and special projects; Atlantic Construction Company as manager of field operations; and New England Telephone. From 2006-2009 Frank served as Vice President of Development for Innkeepers USA, where he was directly responsible for the construction of a Marriott Courtyard hotel for which the company won developer of the year by Marriott for that project. He was also responsible for the successful completion of an Embassy Suite Hotel by Hilton in Valencia, CA. In 2008, Frank became an active member of the Board of Directors and Consultant for Group 7 Design, Inc., an interior design, architecture and construction management firm. In addition to running a successful business, Frank has been active in a number of organizations including the Retail Contractor’s Association, the International Council of Shopping Centers, and the CRAMMM Convention Planning Committee. Frank was also an active member of the Retail Design Institute (formerly the Institute of Store Planners) since 1987. He has sat on various committees for the Boston Chapter and was Vice President from 1988 to 1992 and President from 1993 to 1996. He was also elected as International Treasurer of the Institute from 1994 to 2000 and was honored as “Member of the Year” and was also awarded Fellowship, the highest honor of the organization in 1997. Frank was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours Sunday 2-4 & 7-9 in the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St. (off Central St.), HINGHAM. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the Funeral home on Monday at 10:15 AM prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Paul’s Church, Hingham at 11 AM. Burial in St. Paul’s Cemetery, Hingham.
