Francis C. Pistorino

Pistorino, Francis C., of Weymouth, died October 24, 2017.

Francis worked for the US Postal Service in South Boston for 35 years, retiring in 1999. He enjoyed visits to Castle Island, walks on Nantasket Beach and walking his family’s dogs. Francis took great pride in his yard and could often be found tending it and gardening.

Beloved husband of Jacqueline (Gropp) Pistorino of Weymouth. Devoted father of Jacqueline Sorrentino and her husband Joseph of Wakefield, Nancy Morales and her husband Michael of Colorado and Janice Pistorino and her partner Lynn Sheppard of East Bridgewater. Cherished Papa of 9 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Loving brother of Robert Pistorino of Braintree, Josephine McGillicuddy of FL and the late Edward Pistorino. Brother-in-law of Muriel Richards of S. Boston, Virginia Sonia of S. Boston, Walter Gropp of Norwell and the late Warren Gropp. Also survived by many nieces and nephews, especially Lynn Smith of Milton, to whom he was very close.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Friday 4-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home SOUTH WEYMOUTH at 809 Main Street (Rte 18 opp. So. Shore Hospital). Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at 8 AM Saturday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Francis Xavier Church, Weymouth at 9 AM. Burial in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Boston.
