Holt, Francis S., Jr. “Ted” of Quincy formerly of Brookline, March 27, 2006. Beloved husband of Loraine (Patriquin) of Quincy. Loving father of Lauren Holt of CA, Rachael Ieszenberg of Boston, Eleanor Holt of Quincy, Philip Holt of Plymouth, Anne Marie Gobiel of Wellesley, Peter Holt of Brookline and the late Christine Bulger. Brother of Evelyn Hammershaimb of CA and the late Virginia Holt. Also survived by 10 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, 2 nieces, 2 nephews and his grand puppy Jules. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral service in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., Quincy, Friday at 10:30 AM. Visiting hours Thursday 4-8 PM. Cremation will follow. Ted was a graduate of the Portsmouth Priory in RI. He then went on to complete two years at MIT before he was called off to the war. After the war he worked for the State Department in Paris. Ted came home to work in his family lumber yard, “Pope Lumber” in West Roxbury. Ted was the Past President of the MA Retail Lumberman’s Association. For the past 50+ years he has been the owner of Historic Bostonian Properties. Ted was a sports enthusiast and he had a great passion for football. He enjoyed travelling especially with his family to Barbados. He was an avid supporter of the Jesuit order and had a great love of food and wine.
