Francis R. Bean

Francis R. Bean, of Weymouth, originally from Brighton, died peacefully on February 28, 2017 at the age of 89.

Frank served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. Prior to starting his own HVAC company, Frank Bean, Inc, in 1978, worked as a pipefitter and was a 65 year member of Local 537. Frank was an avid golfer and enjoyed long walks. He was always there to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.

Beloved husband of Grace D. (Cronin) Bean. Loving father of Francis R. Bean, Jr. and wife Debbie of Hanover, Joseph Bean and wife Alison of Weymouth, Mary Lawlor and husband Mike of Hanover, Steven Bean and wife Lynne of Walpole, Laurie Thornton and husband Tucker of Weymouth, Julie McGovern and husband Kevin of Damascus, MD, Ernie Bean of San Diego, CA and the late Tim Bean of Brighton. Brother of Paula Zervas of Milton, Patsy Morgan of Lexington, and the late Mary Schriber, Margo Cartwright, Charlie Bean, and Lillian Cole. Cherished “Poppi” of Caitlin, Greg, David, Matthew, Molly, Michael, Patrick, Brian, Amanda, Steven, Danny, Lauren, Christopher, Michelle, Sean, Madelyn, Mark, and John. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Thursday 4-8 PM in the McDonald Keohane Funeral Home NORTH WEYMOUTH at 40 Sea Street (off Route 3A – Bicknell Square). Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at 9:45 AM on Friday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Jerome Church, Weymouth at 10:30 AM. Burial in Fairmount Cemetery, Weymouth.
