Francis J. Mcardle

McArdle, Francis J. “Frank” of Quincy, died August 23, 2017.

Frank loved his family, especially his girls. He enjoyed golfing with his wife and teaching his daughters and grandchildren how to play. He also liked to play the lottery, roller skate, and was on a couples bowling league at Olindy’s in Quincy. Frank loved to travel, especially to Florida and Las Vegas. He was a very devout Catholic and was a “Jack of all trades”, he could fix anything. He was a retired Postal employee working over 30 years for the Post Office. He also was a roofer, brick later, laundry driver, and worked at the Vehicle Maintenance Facility on A Street. Frank was kind and had a great sense of humor and just the best guy there was. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Son of the late William McArdle. Beloved husband of 70 years to the late Marjorie J. (Devine) McArdle. Loving father of Joan Cleary and her husband Martin J. of Marshfield, Marjorie (Haddigan) Reister and her husband Ed of Marshfield, Elaine McArdle of Quincy and Bob Bernardinelli, Mary (DiGeregorio) McCabe and her husband Bill of Marshfield, Connie Tarsa of Rockland, Frannie Calvani of Norwell, and the late Jeanette Lynch. Brother of the late William and Wallace McArdle. Grandfather of 10 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Monday 4-8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:30 AM Tuesday prior to the Funeral Mass in Holy Trinity Parish at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, Quincy at 10:30 AM. Burial in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Randolph. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Frank may be made to Wingate at Silver Lake, 17 Chipman Way, Kingston, MA 02364.
