McInnis, Francis H “Frank”., recently of Middleboro, formerly of Quincy and Dorchester, April 28, 2004. Husband of the late Dorothy M. (Cardoza) McInnis. Loving Father of Mary Rose Doten and her husband Brad of Lakeville. Brother of the late Joseph “Buddy” McInnis and his wife the late Nelma. Devoted Grandfather of Michael, Patrick and Robert Doten all of Lakeville. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral from the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., WOLLASTON Monday at 9 AM. Funeral Mass in Saint Ann’s Church, Wollaston at 10 AM. Visiting hours Sunday 2-6 PM. Burial in Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne. Frank was a member of the Yankee Division 101st -Veterans. He was a WWII Army Veteran and was the past commander of the Yankee Division of 101st first infantry regiment. Frank grew up in Dorchester and was educated in the Boston Schools. After the war, Frank married Dorothy ( Cardoza) and moved to Quincy , where he raised his family and stayed until 2001. Frank then moved to Lakeville and lived with his daughter and son in law and his 3 grandsons. Frank cherished his time with his family. He was described as an avid Red Sox Fan and Patriots fan. Upon his retirement, Frank enjoyed planting and taking care of his annual garden. He took great pride in his window boxes and his garden. Much of his time was spent with his veteran buddies and he devoted much of his time coordinating many events for Yankee Division “YD” . Along with his veteran associates, they were very instrumental in taking care of the island which houses the memorial statue of John Adams and John Quincy Adams, which is located at Merrymount Park on Southern Artery- Rt. 3A – the sign reads this island is maintained by the Yankee Division. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Frank may be made to Veterans Homeless Shelter, 17 Court St., Boston, MA 02108.
