Carroll, Francis “Frank” G., Sr. of Quincy May 17, 2007. Son of the late Patrick and Margaret Carroll. Beloved husband of 54 years to Claire (Walsh) Carroll of Quincy. Devoted father of Francis G. Carroll, Jr. of Weymouth, David J. Carroll of Quincy, James W. Carroll and his wife Maryellen of E. Sandwich, Patrick W. Carroll and his wife Marianne of Kingston, Paula J. and her husband Paul Bettle of Kingston and Pamela M. and her husband Paul Cronin of Kingston. Loving brother of Edward Carroll of GA, Mary Fay of Dedham, Eugene Carroll of Abington, Patricia Creighton of Braintree, Cookie Westhaven of So Boston and the late William, John, Paul and Thomas Carroll. Cherished grandfather of Bridget, Colleen, Shannon, Abigail, Jessica, John, Kaitlyn, Colin, Jack and Matthew. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral from the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., WOLLASTON, Monday at 9 AM. Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Church, N. Quincy at 10:00 AM. Visiting hours Sunday 2- 6 PM. Burial in Pine Hill Cemetery, Quincy. Frank was born and raised in South Boston, graduating from Gate of Heaven in 1948. He later moved to West Roxbury and has resided in Quincy for the last 40 years. After high school he served in the Korean Conflict with the United States Army. Mr. Carroll was a painter for 35 years as part of the Local Union # 35. He enjoyed reading, collecting old books and following politics. He especially loved spending time with his grandchildren. In lieu of flowers donations in memory of Mr. Carroll may be made to Children’s Hospital, Development 300 Longwood Avenue Boston, MA 02115.
