Francis “Fran” Bradford Cundari

Francis “Fran” Bradford Cundari of Hingham, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, March 19, 2024. He was 23 years old.

He was born to Alison (Tripp) and Michael Cundari and raised in Hingham. Fran attended Hingham High School where he was captain of the ski team and played varsity soccer. He started a landscaping business at the age of 14, impressing his clients with his energy and commitment. After high school, he attended the University of Vermont. He worked as a cabinet maker in the family business alongside his parents for the past four years.

Fran was active and loved exploring the outdoors – you could find him sailing, skiing, hiking, and golfing throughout the different seasons. He loved being on the water and fishing. He was a gifted sailor and constantly placed in local regattas. Later, he shared his talent as an instructor at the Hingham Yacht Club and the Hingham Maritime Center. He was an avid hiker and was always sure to bring his dog and travel companion, Buckley, on his search for waterfalls and swimming holes throughout Vermont and Maine. When he was home, he spent his time in the backyard gardening and had a natural eye for landscape design; he could make any plant flourish.

He enjoyed deep, meaningful conversations that surpassed the typical “small talk”. His thoughtful, pensive nature only added to his lovable quirky disposition. He truly was an old soul. His kindness, understanding, and empathy will be missed dearly by all who knew him.

Cherished son of Alison (Tripp) and Michael Cundari of Hingham. Loving brother to Marion Rose Cundari of Burlington, VT and Olivia Cundari of San Fransisco, CA. Loving nephew to Lauren Tripp Lee, Amanda Tripp Hayes, Leigh Markey, Cecilia Doherty, Esther Healey, Joseph Cundari, Rose Lincoln, Charles Cundari, Joan Endyke and their spouses. Grandson to Susan Tripp and Jane Tripp. Also survived by many, many, many cousins and their children.

He was predeceased by his grandparents, Bradford Sherman Tripp, Edward Joseph Cundari, and Rose M. Cundari.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life on Thursday, March 28th from 3:00-7:00 PM, at the South Shore Country Club, 274 South Street, Hingham, MA. Please bring your memories and love to make this a happy celebration of Francis’s life.
