Francis “Ducky” Mello

Mello, Francis “Ducky” of Hingham April 2, 2008. Husband of the late Ellen T. (Murphy) Mello. Loving father of of Diane Huxley of Braintree and David Mello of Plymouth. Devoted grandfather of Karen & Kristin Huxley and Matthew Mello. Brother of Mary Grassie, Elizabeth Longo, both of Cohasset, Eileen Tyeryar of Scituate, Augustine Mello of Lake Village, AR, John Mello of Cohasset, and the late Angelina Garrett & Ida Fortier. Also survived by many many nieces & nephews. Ducky worked in the lobster industry for over 60 years including 30 years at South Shore Lobster in Hingham. He was an avid bowler and sports fan. He devoted his life to his family and will be greatly missed. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral from the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St. (off Central St.), HINGHAM, Saturday at 8 AM. Funeral Mass in Saint Paul’s Church, Hingham at 9 AM. Visiting hours Friday 4-8 PM. Burial in Woodside Cemetery, Cohasset.
