Garvey, Francis C. of Weymouth, passed away February 16, 2013 at the age of 75.
Francis served in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Newport News during the Korean War. He worked as a machinist for Raytheon and later for GCA Corp in Andover, from where he retired. He was an avid NY Giants fan.
Husband of the late Gail L. (Brown) Garvey. Loving father of Michael and wife Robin of Canton, Sean and wife Marie of Holbrook, Francis of Quincy, Brendan and wife Dawn of Weymouth and the late Karen M. Garvey. Brother of James Garvey of Kingston, Judith Garvey, Pamela Hall, Peter Imrie, David Imrie, Dede Imrie, Gail Imrie, all of Weymouth and the late Michael Garvey. Also survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Thursday 4-8 PM in the McDonald Funeral Home NORTH WEYMOUTH at 40 Sea Street (off RT.3A-Bicknell Square). Burial at a later date. Donations in memory of Francis may be made to N.E. Center for Homeless Veterans, 17 Court St., Boston, MA 02108.
