Francis C. Davey, age 80 of Quincy died peacefully Tuesday January 20, 2015 at the John Adams Nursing Home.
Born in South Boston, Fran was employed as an oil burner technician and was an active member of the Teamsters Union Local 25 for over 30 years; prior to he also proudly served in the Navy. Fran enjoyed attending church and loved singing in two church choirs.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 60 years, Helen (Morrissey) Davey, his children Lorne and Linda Davey of Michigan, Brian and Sandy Davey of Hanover, grandchildren Krystal Davey of Quincy, Amanda Vandergriff of Michigan, Rachel Ring of Rockland, Benjamin Davey of Hanover and Lorne Davey Jr. of Michigan, 10 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Fran also leaves behind his sister Helen Frisco of Brockton, Pauline Perrault of Rockland, Wesley Davey of Arizona and John Davey of Florida. Fran was pre deceased by his twin brother the late William Davey of Plymouth.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Sunday 3-7 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:45 AM Monday prior to the Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Church, 386 Hancock Street, Quincy at 10:30 AM. Burial in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Boston.
