Francine B. Palumbo

Palumbo, Francine B. of Hingham March 6, 2006. Beloved mother of Laura E. Palumbo of Hingham. Loving daughter of Yolanda E. (Cordaro) Galvin of Hingham and the late John B. Galvin. Loving sister of Elaine F. Player of Weymouth. Also survived by several nieces, nephews, great niece, great nephew, cousins and her beloved Bichon Frise dog, Shugar. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral from the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St., HINGHAM, Thursday at 10 AM. Funeral Mass in Church of the Resurrection, Hingham at 11:00 AM. Visitation prior to Mass. Burial in High Street Cemetery, Hingham. Donations in memory of Francine may be made to A.L.S., Lou Gehrig’s Disease 7 Lincoln St. Wakefield, MA 01880 or MSPCA, 350 S. Huntington Ave. Jamaica Plain, MA 02130. Francine loved gardening and enjoyed taking care of her yard. She was a very talented artist who enjoyed drawing portraits of her family in charcoal and creating designs in crochet. Mrs. Palumbo loved her animals, especially her Bichon Frise dogs. She volunteered her time with her daughter and worked for Small Paws Rescue, a nationwide group which helps to protect Bichon Frise dogs from any type of neglect. Francine was a 1960 Graduate of Hingham High School. After high school she worked for New England Telephone from 1960 to 1965. Above all else, she loved her family.
