Conway, Frances T. (Threlfall) of Weymouth, passed away Feb. 4, 2013.

Born Sept. 25, 1920 to Joseph and Margaret Threlfall in Hingham; grew up on family farm; was educated in Hingham Schools, graduating H.S. in 1938. Married to James D. Conway of Newton July 1941. When in 1942, James went to war with the Navy in Pacific Theater. She and son James Jr. returned to family farm for the duration. They settled in Weymouth in 1945 after end of war, where she became active in Immaculate Conception Parish Sodality, American Legion and VFW Aux, AmVets, Moose, and Girl Scouts. Raised 5 children. Worked as a seamstress/dress maker until retirement in 1978. She remained active in civic affairs, volunteering with Weymouth Council on Aging, Elder Services Meals on Wheels for over 25 years. Declining health led to her final two years as a resident of Southwood at Norwell.

She is survived by son James Jr. and wife Judith of Bowdoin, ME, son Thomas J. of Weymouth, daughter Frances Lynch and husband Robert of Weymouth, daughter Margaret Loud of Quincy, and son John of Weymouth. She is survived by 11 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Predeceased by grandson James Kinney. Sister of Margaret Tirrell of Holbrook and late Joseph.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Thursday 4-8 PM in the McDonald Funeral Home EAST WEYMOUTH at 3 Charles Street (corner of Charles & Middle Street). Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at 8:15 AM on Friday prior to the Funeral Mass in Immaculate Conception Church, Weymouth at 9AM. Burial in Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree. Donations in memory of Frances may be made to the Alzheimers Assn., MA Chapter, 480 Pleasant St., Watertown, MA 02472 or to Weymouth Council on Aging, 182 Green St., Weymouth, MA 02189.
