Frances M. Fleming

Fleming, Frances M. (MacLennan) of Quincy, died November 15, 2013.

Beloved wife of the late Francis L. “Razz” Fleming.  Loving mother of Catherine Fleming of Quincy and Theresa Melchin  of Quincy and the late Francis L. Jr.  “Steve” and John F. Fleming.  Sister of Florence Ross of Brockton and the late Edith Patterson, Catherine Burnham, Paul and Thomas MacLennan.  Cherished grandmother of James Melchin Jr. of Boston and Matthew F. Melchin and his wife Kellie of Weymouth.  Dear second mom of John Maloof of Plymouth.

Frances was born in Boston and lived in Dorchester until settling in Quincy in 1969.  She worked for National Laundry in Dorchester for many years before retiring in 1980.  Frances enjoyed her daily newspaper, current events, bingo and was an avid Red Sox and Patriots  fan.  A very independent woman, Frances took pride in cooking, entertaining and caring for her own home up until the age of 90.  Most of all Frances loved her family who were the cornerstone of her life. She will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her. 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the visiting hours on Tuesday 4-8 PM in the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock St., QUINCY. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in the funeral home at 9:15 AM on Wednesday prior to the Funeral Mass in St. Ann’s Church, Quincy at 10 AM. Burial in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Dorchester.
