Frances Healy passed away peacefully on March 28, 2025, at the age of 86. Born in the picturesque town of Drumshanbo, Ireland, Frances emigrated to America in the 1960s where she met Owen Healy, the love of her life, and together, they built a beautiful family in Quincy. Frances was the proud mother of six children who adored her - Mary Ellen (Healy) Stachura and her husband Robert of Mount Prospect, IL, Sheila (Healy) Smith and her husband Andrew of Hilton Head, SC, Allyson Healy and Angela Healy both of Quincy, Jason Healy and his wife Carrie of Marshfield and Jonathan Healy and his wife Rachel of Dorchester. She was the loving daughter of the late Thomas and Ellen (Noone) Judge and beloved sister of the late Eileen Judge. Cherished nana of Olivia, Kara, Aiden, Siena, Brooke, Alana, Landon, Ronan, Dylan, Samantha and Adeline. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Family was her cornerstone, the very foundation of her joy. She passed down to her children not only her unwavering faith but also her strong values, teaching them the importance of kindness, hard work, and love. Her deep faith was a guiding force in her life, and she was a devoted member of Sacred Heart Parish in North Quincy. Through her active involvement in the Women's Club, she fostered a strong sense of community that will live on through the generations she influenced.A registered nurse at Brigham and Women's Hospital for over 40 years, Frances was known for her exceptional care, compassion, and skill. Her colleagues admired her dedication, and her patients often spoke of the warmth and kindness she radiated. She worked tirelessly to care for others, and her passion for nursing was evident in everything she did.Her love for travel was another highlight of her life. Alongside her sister Eileen, Frances took many trips, with each adventure creating a tapestry of beautiful memories. But one of her favorite places in the world was her home in Cape Cod, where she could relax. Her time spent there was always a source of joy and renewal for Frances.Beyond her career and travels, Frances was also a gifted seamstress and knitter, talents she shared generously with her family. Frances’s creativity and care knew no bounds. Her hands, always busy with some project, were a reflection of her nurturing nature, always seeking to bring comfort and joy to those she loved. Above all, Frances's love for her family was her greatest treasure. Her children and grandchildren were the light of her life, and she considered herself incredibly fortunate to witness the growth and happiness of the generations that followed her. Although her family is heartbroken by her passing, they are filled with gratitude for the countless blessings she brought into their lives. Frances leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, and devotion, and while her absence leaves an irreplaceable void, her spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
Frances’s family will welcome relatives and friends on Wednesday, April 2, from 4-8 pm at the Keohane Funeral Home, 785 Hancock Street, Quincy. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Thursday, April 3, at 9:45 AM, prior to the Funeral Mass at Sacred Heart Church in North Quincy at 10:30 AM. Burial will follow at Pine Hill Cemetery in Quincy.
