Frances “Claire” Wieners

Wieners, Frances “Claire” (Riley) of Quincy,  originally from South Boston, died August 21, 2014.

Devoted wife of the late Joseph V. Wieners. Loving mother of Mary Patricia Danna and her husband Edward, Jeanne Foley and her husband Albert all of Wollaston, Marilyn Adams and her husband James of Weymouth, Denise Geggatt and her husband Jonathan of Bridgewater and the late Joseph C. Wieners. Sister if the late Mary B. and John C. Riley. Claire is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. 

Claire worked in the library as a clerk for Quincy Public Schools.  She was a member of the Castle Island Association. She enjoyed knitting items for newborns and loved to oil paint. Claire loved all types of crafts and was especially talented at making Christmas ornaments.  She will be sadly missed by all those who knew her.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the Funeral Mass on Thursday August 28 in St. Ann’s Church, Quincy at 10:30 AM. Burial in Mt. Wollaston Cemetery, Quincy.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Claire may be made to Norwell VNA Hospice, 120 Longwater Drive, Norwell, MA 02061.
